So Much Pain
‘I never thought my footprint would be washed away by rain’
By Bo’Arm
I’ve seen so many things,
that it’s hard for me to explain.
So much pain,
so much pain.
I’ve experienced so much change,
that it’s hard for me to explain.
So much pain,
so much pain.
They say old sin casts long shadows.
I guess that means my yesterdays are linked to
my tomorrows.
And my tomorrows are only what yesterday left behind.
I guess that’s just how life is designed,
leaving me to build off my past sins.
As I sit in this cell doing time with no end,
it all comes back to me at once:
the plot,
the murder,
confusing my needs for something I want.
I wish I could take it all back.
But when a bullet leaves the chamber of a gun,
there’s no coming back from that.
You have to live with the fact that you took a life
and no man can see his future even with hindsight.
That is a truth I know too well,
because I never could imagine doing life in a concrete cell.
I never thought my footprint in life would
be washed away by rain.
I never thought I’d experience
so much pain,
so much pain.
